Allen Meadows - Score: 93-95 (2019 June)

A pungent nose consists of sulfur, wood and reduction. Much more interesting are the dense, powerful and opulent broad-shouldered flavors that coat the palate with dry extract while delivering outstanding depth and persistence on the balanced, firm and hugely long finish. This is a beautiful Chevalier but one that will need from 12 to 15 years to arrive at its peak.
